we have a vw transporter 2000 model short base. we have had this thing for 3 years and have a major problem
that if it rains or gets washed it dies - 3 mechanics plus nrma have checked it out plus numerous backyard mechanics plus a few that think they know - this happens continually and at the worst possible times imagine cancelling a camp trip at xmas with kids casue thing dont start - this is also our business vehicle we deliver appliances everyday so must have reliable van.... no-one can work out whats wrong- anyone had similar problems or have any idea what gives with this -

 

well if your coil pack iscracked water gets in there and shorts it until it dries out. Dunno exactly what vehicle you have, but if you have some exposed wires somewhere water gets in there and shorts it out. It's constant problem on some vehicles, there's a fix but I can't remember what.

 

it should have the same motor as yours Bagel
coil pack+vr6 always a problem area
