Default 94 Jetta Auto Transmission
I have a 94 JettaIII 2.0 Automatic. Does anyone know why the transmission won't go into OD. It won't go past 3rd gear.

There could be various reasons. First you need to get your motor scanned (preferably with VAG-COM\VCDS) for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing.

AutoZone will do a free scan in the hope you buy something of them.

Any updates? My guess would be a bad solenoid...
