Hi all, I'm new to the forum, just bought a 69 VW camper bus and I am having a hard time identifying exactly what it is. The title says STA-WAGON on the body style, the original owners manual is gone, and lordy it needs some work but over all it ain't too bad. The problem I'm running in to is that most of the pictures I see have the camper top that pivots up at an angle, the one I have lifts straight up, so I'm not certain as to whether it's a vanagon, westfalia, or otherwise. Please help.

 

It would appear I have spoken too soon. What it looks like is someone has added this as a modification to the original, so now I just have to figure out what was there in the beginning of it's life. It has a cutout in the roof so I know it had a popup, only now I'm thinking it was the smaller penthouse style. I still welcome any comments on the exact body style however...
