Default passat possible abs/brake fault?

Hi, I am a newbie, on my second passat and I do try to do my own fixes although help is always appreciated. Not sure I should put forward my problem here but I have a 2002 passat and I have just changed the n/s outer cv joint. since doing so I get a horrid brake noise judder (from n/s front) only at low speed say pulling up at a junction. Also at around 60mph the car will hesitate at times and the traction warning light flicks on and off. could this be the traction control applying the brake for some reason? I can correct this by accelerating or slowing down. Any ideas what I could of done. The reason for the joint change was a split boot which led to the joint problem. So alot of cv grease about. Could it be a dirty abs sensor? Thanks
