Hi,

I am looking for some advice on my Passat and i'm not sure where else to ask as VW aren't all that helpful.

Over the past 2 or 3 days I have noticed that when I switch the engine off and remove the fob from the dash to turn the ignition off there is an electrical buzzing sound. I opened the bonnet and could hear the sound coming from the battery box.

I went back in to the car and pushed the fob into the dash again to turn the ignition on, then took it out again. Once I had done this the buzzing went away.

Can anyone think of the cause? Any help greatly appreciated.
