Default wrong gas

i have a 2002 jetta 1.8 turbo and i usually put premium gas in it because the dealer said not to put regular in a turbo. But when i went to the gas station tonight the guy filled my tank with regular[:@] (idiot). i already feel like the car is driving funny and i only drove like 2 miles in it. so now do we think ill be ok? or what do we think i should do?

well i wouldn't think that you are going to do any damage to it.... but the main diff. that is going on with the two gas types is octane so just go to your auto parts store and pick up a bottle of the octane in a can crap ola' and put that in.... and little by little (gallon or so) put in pemuim to dilute the regular gas.....

Yea, what Tony said (haha) you won't do any damage, you're not making big power so using a little lower octane won't hurt the engine at all. IF you had a modded deal and were making big boost and you pushed it, you'd have knock with lower octane and start to do damage. The most you'll see different is a loss in mileage and maybe performance (Some cars are built around octane). I wouldn't even bother with the bottled octane in my opinion, waste of money. Just drive it normally and whenever you get the chance throw some premium in it till you're back

not to dweal on the matter but
ive noticed that my pick in the car sucks now and also the RPMs are going crazy, i was driving today and usually the car has real good pick up, now theres no pick up and the rpms are going up to like 5000 before they switch...i may be paranoid but it just doesnt seem right

well teh pick up is b/c of the differance in the octane... the lower octane is going to give you lesser performace.... and for the RPM's... umm it could just be the engine reacting differently... i would not worrie to much
