Default Brake Pad Indicator

My brake pad indicator light came on the dash, and I'll be getting the pads replaced this week. Does anyone know if the local shops like MIDAS will have the the ability to turn the indictor light off? Or is it only the VW dealers that can do it?

Default RE: Brake Pad Indicator

i would think that when the pads are replaced it should go off by itself... i'm not 100% sure but i would think that it is like a low fuel light, once more fuel is added it goes off... you could replace these yourself you know, its not hard, and pads should be under $50.00....
