Default Location of ABS module

Greetings!

I bought a '95 VW Golf Mk3 last fall. It's a great piece, but unfortunately the ABS doesn't seem to work. The ABS light doesn't turn on in the dashboard, but I always skid and the breaks lock when I hit the breaks hard on slippery or wet surfaces.
I've been trying to locate the ABS module to get some serial numbers for info, but had no luck. I don't know what it looks like or where exactly look for it.

Maybe some of you veteran Golf owners can help me with some guidance?

Thank you very much!

It should be around your master cylinder with a bunch of brake lines coming out of it.
