Change oil on Golf 3, how often?

Change oil on Golf 3, how often?

How often is it nessecary to change oil + filter on a Golf 3 from 1996. It is a 1,8 Aut.

It depends on if your using synthetic or regular. If its regular I'd suggest every 4,000 miles. If it's synthetic You can go up to 7,000. I use synthetic and still change it every 4,000. That's just me though.

Okay, what about the oilfilter? Is that the same?

Change the filter with every oil change.
