I just finished building my '72 1641cc engine. The engine will start when i pour a little gas into the carb and hold the throttle open by hand, but the engine will not idle on its own. Can anyone point me in the right direction.

 

I'm no expert on carbs but, have you made adjustments to the idle control?

 

i have adjusted idle control, but the carb is not adding any fuel at idle, i am leaning more towards the fuel pump.
