Power Windows Problems
HELP!! I replaced the driver side front window regulator in June of this years on a '99 "Old Body" Jetta. Now that same window is acting up, not returning to the "Up" position. It appears cable mechanism has failed. But, not sure whether mechanism is failing due to cable assembly or motor malfunction.
Now rear window on same side having same problem.
What is the best remedy; replace entire unit (motor and regulator), motor, or regulator?
Would appreciate feed back.

RE: Power Windows Problems
Yea, check the switches. Maybe replace them
just to be on the safe side. Usually in power windows
the motors go before anything else, or the actual
scissor lift thing whatever you call it is sticky or ceased.
Then have the motor checked, and slowly
replace all components till the problem is fixed.
