hey guys i want to put some xenon or those blue lights on my 99 VW passat.

it currently has 3 light settings,

the yellow lights in the front that are always on
the ligths that go on at night (the low beams)
and the high beams

i am looking to put the blue xenon lights for the low beams


how do I know what kind of light I will need and were can i buy them. any help would be greatly appreciated

i also have a question, if i have blue xenons for low beams and i turn my high beams on as well which are halogens will it look retarded beause of the 2 different lights

What I have are those silver stars....they are bad ***!! They're almost white, but if you look at em, it's kinda blue. Got to wal-mart, autozone, anything like that pick up for $30...Sylvania Silver Stars....and if you don't like them, return them. Beats trying to return something from the internet, think about it.

 

Your passat has headlights on all the time, during the day the daytime running lights are on which are the same as the lowbeams. Just get an aftermarket HID kit installed, and go to the dealer and have them turn off the daytime lights. this way you wont waste the expensive bulbs.

 

no dont get silverstars, those things are a waste. yes they're better thanstock halogens, butgo for real HIDs. www.higherlevelauto.com or ebay them or craigslist.
