Hello,

I am in need of help diagnosing what is wrong with my car. I had closed the driver side door too hard, and since then I've been having issues. I believe the car thinks the door is always open, even when I have it closed. The interior lights never turn off. When I start the car, it does the intermittent beeps for about a minute. When I turn on the headlights, it does the long steady beep. I am no longer able to lock my car with the remote. As you can imagine, these issues have become quite annoying after awhile, and I cannot afford to take it to the mechanic.

I have taken the door apart several times to fix the window so I am comfortable with this. But I also know how much work it is so I would like a better idea of what part needs to be replaced before I do so. If anyone could offer any help, I would be very appreciative.
