yea it sucks but im getting it fixed very soon and will start hopefully tearing it apart this or next week to get it to the machince shop and get the block welded up. have the crank checked and rods. new bearings and all that good stuff. if you guys have any suggestions let me know. thanks

 

look every thing over new oil pump and pickup tube
check turbo and head

 

[:@][:'(] well i started taking the car apart the other day and all was good. I was starting to get ready to take out the motor and then i saw it. th ebig hole. I don't know how i didn't see it before, but in the #2 cylinder there was a hole about the size of a small grapefruit. So, the motor is junk. i could see the rod in #2 and partly in #3. Not sure it made a hole that big with the turbo unhooked. So, if anyone knows some place to get a AWM engine for a 02 passat 1.8t witha automatic w/ tiptronic shifting GLS please let me know. Or, if there is aything else compatible to put in there it would be appriciated. thanks.
