electric fans stuck on constantly

we have a 2004 vw passatt 1900cc turbo diesel and the electric fans are on constantly any ideas pls

Well the fan is switched by the sensor in the radiator so it could be faulty. If you remove the connection and the fan stops it needs a new sensor.
