I recently purchased on line a FOB that is supposed to work in my 2006 VW Passat. I took the key/fob (there is no key), car and current working key/fob to a VW dealership and they said it could not be programmed because it was eaither previously programmed or it was an aftermarket and had to be an OEM fob. Is this true? If not, what is the best way to program?
