Default Weird.... limp mode

I had a coolant leak that was repaired last month and they replaced the hoses. A couple of weeks later, my car ends up going into limp mode after driving for a short period of time every day. The car will drive perfectly fine but then something causes it to trigger it to go into limp mode. I've got a 00264 code coming up which is the "solenoid d stuck on". Could their messy work have caused this issue? I looked under the hood and there is a wire that has the plastic melted and a hose that is just hanging not connected to anything.
