Default 02 Jetta GLS - 00268 Solenoid Valve 6 (N93) code

I searched an answer already, but nobody seems to have my exact problem.

I have 02 VW Jetta GLS (AZG) with 01M auto transmission with 170k on it. Transmission fluid, filter and gasket had been replaced twice, the last time at 167k. A couple of weeks ago I had alternator problem, also at that exact period I had transmission in limp mode (3rd gear only) and error code 00268 - Solenoid Valve 6 (N93). After alternator replacement with battery disconnected (code erased) I drove for 140 miles - no transmission problems, no transmission codes. On my way back I had the same exact situation. So, I stopped at my friend's house and disconnected the battery. Next morning - the car is working good. After 70 miles of driving on a highway I was slowing down because of speed limit (from 65 mph down to 45) - transmission went to limp mode again. I stopped, erased the code with diagnostic tool and drove another 70 miles without a problem. After that I was driving a car within short distance (15-20 min of driving) for two days - no problems. So, it seems like transmission error depends on temperature of transmission fluid. So, what is it could be most likely - solenoid or wiring? Or maybe something else?

Thanks ahead for all your help!!!

Special Notes:
On some transmissions, the OE wiring diagrams do not have Solenoid Valve 6 (N93), it can be referred to as the Pressure Control Valve 3 (N217).

Hi! Yep, replacing the solenoid had helped.
