WV golf check engine light
WV golf check engine light just came in i checked the codes i got after computer scanning , i got 7 codes all of them related to the gear (Wiring/Connectors from/to Solenoid Valve 2 (N89) Open or Short to Ground)....
Well i was shocked and surprised since the car is working well and i cant feel anything wrong with my gear transmission.
So i told the guy who did the scanning that i changed the gear before 4 months and i just have changed the battery today.
he said so it is normal since they are a new ratios to the computer not the original and the car is safe.
shall i blv him and forget this stupid light ? and is there any way to turn it off ?? my car is golf 2003

EOBD II Error Code: 00258
Fault Location:
Solenoid Valve 1 (N88): Open or Short to Ground
Possible Cause:
Wiring/Connectors from/to Solenoid Valve 1 (N88) Open or Short to Ground.
Solenoid Valve 1 (N88) faulty.
Possible Solutions:
Check/Repair Wiring/Connectors from/to Solenoid Valve 1 (N88).
Check/Replace Solenoid Valve 1 (N88).
See Measuring Value Blocks (MVB).
Perform Output Test.
Well all those are virtually the same type of error but with different solenoid valves with the same cause and solution.
You would need someone with VAG-COM\VCDS to check the Measuring Value Blocks values.
