Default Taking the 2011 Jetta to the test drive

The 2011 Volkswagen Jetta is not an easy car to love.
No, the reason it's hard to love and fully recommend the 2011 Volkswagen Jetta is because it's a step backward in a number of ways. The cost-cutting scissors were out in force this time around and it's all too obvious where money was saved.

Oh, this perennial best seller (at least in the U.S.) is an agreeable automobile and even after only a one-day drive along some pretty tasty roads north of San Francisco, this sixth-generation Jetta would be near the top of our shopping list among the current crop of small sedans on the market.

Hey,
My name is Jason and I drive about 45,000 miles per year. I am interested in the Jetta Sport Wagon TDI. Do you have any opinions on automatic vs manual? Will this car last? What should I expect to get mileage-wise living in Colorado? Also, will I be able to get through snow with good snow tires on?
Thanks
