Default starting problems, please help

2000 jetta gls 2.0L........when i go to start my car for the first time of the day it starts up but it sounds and it feels like it is running on 3 cylenders and vibrates very rapidly for a few seconds. it is also very sluggish then it goes away and is fine. when you hit the brake it wants to stall and is sluggish when starting to move. when it gets fully warmed up and your driving its fine. i have replaced the sparkplug wires and plugs and it still does it. what the heck could it be?

Sounds like your timing needs adjusting. When was the last time you had a tune up?

Also could be your coil pack, it's a $400 part, I would make sure it's that before going and buying one. I got one off Ebay for $200 and my car runs better than it ever has.

You should get the car a tune up at least once a year. Your plugs and cables need to be changed out and timing adjusted if necessary.
