My Jetta has been having a serious problem lately. At high speeds my car sputters alot and then stops. It only does it when i give it alot of throtle and thats it.My RPMS stay the same but my boost gauge goes crazy. What could be causing this? Please dont tell me its the transmission

Could be something in the ignition or fuel system. Mabey as simple as a spark plug or wire or a fuel filter. I'm no expert on turbos though.

I changed the spark plugs on my wife's 2000 Beetle and it did the same thing. I thought I was doing a lot of good buying those best Platinum plugs. NO WAY! I had to go with the Autolight basic plugs. $2.89 apiece at Murray's. Who figure? Try changing the plugs with either Autolight or NGK copper basic plugs for your car. If you run to hot of a plug range it will miss like that on acceleration of high rpm's. I learned the hard way!

I buy coolant, spark plugs, and other misc things form the dealership. Mine is really good, friend of mine works there too, and I get the military discount.
