Sputtering

My Jetta has been having a serious problem lately. At high speeds my car sputters alot and then stops. It only does it when i give it alot of throtle and thats it.My RPMS stay the same but my boost gauge goes crazy. What could be causing this? Please dont tell me its the transmission:(

Could be something in the ignition or fuel system. Mabey as simple as a spark plug or wire or a fuel filter. I'm no expert on turbos though.

I changed the spark plugs on my wife's 2000 Beetle and it did the same thing. I thought I was doing a lot of good buying those best Platinum plugs. NO WAY! I had to go with the Autolight basic plugs. $2.89 apiece at Murray's. Who figure? Try changing the plugs with either Autolight or NGK copper basic plugs for your car. If you run to hot of a plug range it will miss like that on acceleration of high rpm's. I learned the hard way!

I buy coolant, spark plugs, and other misc things form the dealership. Mine is really good, friend of mine works there too, and I get the military discount.
