hey guys I just joined this forum and have also been apart of vwvortex. I just had my 2000 2.0GL serviced at Curran vw in milford, ct and they just changed the oil, ran through everything, and re-attached or tightened a header or exhaust clamp. Now, it's rattling again. Which do you think it is? I can't really telll, but i'd imagine if you took the muffler off, it sound 3 times as loud. So it can't be that bracket. I only hear it if i'm reving it in neutral standing still.

 

hmmm it may be a dust sheild that sits between the bell housing and the engine.. I have a 2.0 and that sheild rattles like a sumbitch

 

hmm yeah. If I tightend it, would keep coming undone? Or could it be solved by buying an aftermarket cat-back system? I was planning on it anyway.
