Purchasing a TDI - Have questions
Hello all
Name is Ross and I知 interested in purchasing a Volkswagen Jetta or Passat TDI. I知 inclined more to the Jetta however. I just need something to drive for work, my full sized Dodge RAM is just to big to be running around town with all day, and even though it痴 a Diesel itself, its mileage isn稚 the greatest. I致e always loved Diesel engines and have owned many Diesel powered vehicles over the years. I had a leased Volkswagen Polo TDI while in England for awhile, but as it was new I never really had to do anything to it. My only experience with a German made Diesel engine is the Mercedes built engine in my Jeep.
So I知 looking at used cars obviously, I知 thinking about 2006 or above and would prefer one with a manual transmission. My questions to you are, what issues, if any do these cars have, or what should I look for when purchasing one? I have no problem tuning a wrench on one if I have to.
Thanks, I look forward to seeing what you all have to say about these cars. I apologize if this post is in the wrong section, please feel free to move it if necessary.
