Im doing my first change on the car...tired of farming it out...what is best kind of oil to use...synthetic or regular ??? Any particular brands of oil to use or to avoid like the plague ???
Also, whats the capacity. Lastly, what viscosity ...The window sticker has a 5W..but Im wanting to be sure of 5W30 or ???


This is todays project...any help greatly appreciated...

i have an 01 1.8t and personally use synthetic castrol 5w-40...same thing the mechanics use if i take it to the shop...makes my car purrrrrrr!

 

i just use any 5w30...and as for the capacity it should be in your owners manual...my 2.0 holds like 4.5l
