Ok so im not extremely car smart I am somewhat new to it. But anyways I just bought my freinds jetta 2003 1.8L. He updraded the turbo that was boosting 32psi. He said this was not spooling soon enough so it was loosing power. He downgraded it to a new turbo boosting 25 psi. Now he had a 4.0 fuel regulator in it for the bigger turbo. The car is untuned for the 25psi turbo so its not working atm. The problem I had tonight while driving was it was barely making it up hills the car just kinda puffed along and jolted alot. It turned off a couple times just died straight up then I had to turn it off and start it again. My freind told me to expect this because since the 4.0 is pushing to much gas to the engine that I need to get a 3.0 fuel regulator in it. Now I can install this myself but will this help with the problem? Did my freind jip me or is he telling me the truth? If I get the 3.0 back in will the car run fine till the tune? Thanks.
