Default MK4 exhaust?

Just bought a magnaflow exhaust for the car and was wondering before i put it up on blocks to change it if im going to need to cut the stock one off or if it just unbolts. Much appreciated guys thanks, also if anyone has experience with the 15669 part number exhaust from magnaflow i would love to know if its a good exhaust or not, thanks

Hello! I have a mk3 jetta gt, and recently bought an exhaust setup for my car. My older brother and I were able to get the stock exhaust unbolted from the catalytic converter with PBblaster penetrating oil and a lot of elbow grease. Mine was more than likely much rustier than yours, but there will be some effort either way. I cannot speak to the quality of the particular part you bought, but I know most aftermarket exhausts are an improvement in sound quality, mpgs, and horsepower. It is one of the most basic and best improvements to a car. Good luck!
