I have a Jetta 1.8t which is fun...i would prefer a GTI or Golf but the Jetta is the same car...a little bigger...mine is my winter car so i havent looked into modding it greatly, but it is quite quick from the factory. There are endless options though for the 1.8t if you want to mod it...go with a manual though, some automatics have problems...so i've heard...

 

i love my jetta except for that big *** she has on her!! but i do like the looks of the gti's too!!!... its up to u...they are very simalar except for wieght (obviously) and the whole hatchback / trunk thing!!! what about prices?...wt are the prices on the 2 cars?

 

Jetta for daily driving, nice and comfy, looks really nice and clean
GTI for a good modding car, or car you plan on taking to the track, looks really sporty and is very functional
