Help with 2000 Jetta

interior lights will not come on when I open drivers door,however they do come on when any other door is opened,Any Ideas ?

I'm having the same problem right now... I'll be tracking the wiring this week and I'll post up what I find for my problem.

Im also having this problem, iv had the car a week and it gets annoying in the dark when the lights dont come on with my door....

Is there a switch some where in the door or door jam that may be sticking?

Help with 2000 Jetta

Not sure if the problem is fixed but I cleaned and oiled(used Power Lube) the door catch and so far lights have been working(over a week now).

yeh mine is all working top notch as well.
