Default do i need to replace the clutch

i have a 2001 jetta 2.0L and the clutch only requires me to press it down like 2 inches and i can shift gears just fine and it doen't engage into first gear till i have it almost all the way up. i don't think it is slipping or anything but i want a clutch back. it is a hydrolic clutch so is there anyway of adjusting it or anythign or do i need to replace it. i have most of it tore apart and it wasn't that bad to do. all i got to do is drop the tranny now and change it but i wan't sure if there was something else i should have checked before i did all that. also kinda confused on how to bleed the clutch lines. i was reading around and from what i saw the clutch and the brake resiviour is the some one is that correct. so do i need to bleed all the brakes too when i bleed the clutch line? or how does that work

You don't have to bleed the clutch lines you just have to remove the hydrolic housing off the trans.
