Default 92 Running Rough, Dying

Hello,

Got a 92 Jetta that is dying on me. It has a hard time starting and then once started, it'll die whenever it pleases. Usually it's when I'm stopped, but sometimes when I'm driving.

It has new spark plugs and fuel pumps. Filled it up with 93 octane and fuel injector cleaner. Put a new air filter in. Any thoughts?

It might be the ignition coil. Also check the plug wires..

is the motor designed to run the high octane fuel? in my last car (1990 toyota camry), i put 92 octane in with octane booster, and the car ran like crap for that tank of gas.

higher octane means less combustible, which works better for high compression motors, like supercharged, turboed, or like the VR6.

anyway, is the car throwing a CEL?
