I recently purchased a 2006 Jetta TDI. It does not have the belly pan. A mechanic told me that is not important, but I am a bit concerned as road grime can now be blown up into the engine compartment. Should I be concerned?

 

The belly pan does reduce the grime drawn up into the engine compartment. Its up to you if you want to buy one or search a breakers yard for one.
