Default 2003 jetta being gay :'( help

okay so this situation is as follows: i started my 2003 jetta gli to warm up and came back outside in like ten minutes and coolant was going down my driveway like the damn nile river. i figured out that it was my water pump it was coming from. but now the problem is my car wont start at all. i know temp didn't go over 190 and it will start with jumper cables, but once you take the jumper off the battery, it immediately dies. im frustrated and pulling my hair by the handful so please help me. i appreciate it!!!

it's either your battery or your alternator. you are not holding a charge

It must be the alternator, a battery only starts the car, the alternator keeps it running and supplies the electricity to power the rest of the bells and whistles. There is always the option of taking the part to an auto parts store and having them test it, many will test it for free and be able to tell you exactly, if anything, what is wrong with it.

definatley the altanator... your battery could also be bad from the alanator going bad... but once you jump your car it runs off the alanator not the battery... the problem with this is now when you disconnect the battery your car might go into imoobilizaztion mode and the you would need to tow your car to the dealership where they can reprogram your keys... a bunch of crap yet good if someone tried stealing your car... im not sure but all vw have this imobilizer i think after 97 or somethin

I don't think your car's sexuality has anything to do with the leak.
