Default 2003 GLI DOHC VR6 overheating frustration

I have an issue. New waterpump, new thermostat, new fans (which have been verified to work), double capacity radiator, fresh flushed and new overflow bottle cap. Car is still overheating. Have had this car for a few years now, and not had this issue. Suddenly started last week. It is a project car, rough around the edges.

First posts normally go in introductions else you could get a free fix and we never see you again!!!

Default Welcome to Volkswagen Forum - Rules & Recommendations

Overheating are you going by what he gauge says?

Gauges are guesstimate.

You need to get your motor scanned (preferably with VAG-COM\VCDS) for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing and check systems out.
