1999 MKIII Jetta VR6 Trans/Clutch Problem
I recently purchased a 1999 Jetta GLX. It's a 5 speed and has about 100,000 miles on it. I bought it, drove it to check it out and then parked it for about a month. When I parked it, it was fine. Now clutch slipping, the gears engaged properly etc... Now the last couple of times I have tried to drive it, it simple will not allow me to shift it into gear no matter what. I can't get reverse,1st or 2nd to get the car moving. As I let the car warm up it seems to get slightly better but definitely not the way it should be. I highly doubt it's a syncro problem because I can't shift into gear even with the engine off. I am guessing the crappy hydraulic cluctch needs to be bled. (I hate hyrdaulic clutches - cables rule!!) - Anyway, I am assuming that's the problem so if anyone has any input or instructions for bleeding the clutch I would be very very appreciative!!
Peace!

You are starting at exactly where i was thinking to go. I would check clutch fluid levels, hydraulic slave cylinder, and all lines for leaks it sounds like that part is the one malfunctioning.
