Hi I'm new. I am really hoping someone can help me out.

I was driving my car home today from an errand. Only a few blocks away. My car shook and stopped. It reminded me of when someone stalls out a manual car. My car is an automatic. Then I had to completely shut it off and turn the key a lot longer then normal to start it. I got it going and then sure enough at the next stop light I stopped and everything was fine untill I went to step on the gas... it then shook and stopped. I had to completely shut it off again and restart. When I stepped on the gas I didnt think it was going to keep going untill I gunned it home.... seemed like the faster I went the better it was...

please someone help!

check engine light came on as well.

 

It sounds like you just need a new battery.
