I have a 1997 vr6. i just recently got into a car accident and was wondering if the engine and parts from my vr6 will fit in an mkI, II, or IV, or even newer..thanks for the help

 

I'm guessing it's probably the original 12v vr6?
If it is most of the parts will fit into any other 12v vr6. But be careful if you are putting those parts into a 24v vr6 because it is likely that many major components are different. Volkswagen switched over to the 24v vr6 engine in 1999.5 but still gave an option of the 12v. So just make sure which engine you are starting with matches the finishing one.
