I have a 02 Jetta wagon with the 2.0L gas engine. I've been very pleased with the car for the 6 months I've had it, until today... Got stranded at the car wash, car starts and runs for about 3 seconds then dies. Any ideas???

 

You might check to see if your ignition coil is soaked or has any cracks on it.

 

Did not wash under the hood, pretty sure water is not the issue. Could be a crack though...

 

Yeah, if it's got a crack it just takes water vapor to foul it up.
