Yea wrecks are pretty traumatic. Ive been in the passenger seat of friends cars for multiple crashes over 70mph+, in one instance flipping over and rolling 5-6 times on a hairpin. That airbag to the face feels awesome. Waking up at night will pass pretty quick. Look at it this way, in the world of racing the only real way to learn what your doing wrong and improve is to crash. So long as your doing it safely on deserted backroads or on the track. Turn a tragedy into a learning experience. Good luck with the parents. [:@]

Sorry about your crash. Good that you are still alive and that you didn’t kill no one. I can’t blame you for driving GTI as a teenager , but let me tell you something about your parents : Their heads need some serious exams ! Letting their teenage son driving this pocket rocket is plain stupid ! Hope you learn something from this crash, and you don’t kill yourself or someone else, next time you sit behind the wheel. Good luck.

Hey man i appreciate your concern but ive been driving for 5 years with no tickets or accidents, this is my first. Ive driven some pretty quick cars too so thisisnt my parents just letting me do something. It took me 3 years to even convince them to let me move onto another car that would pay for myself or with their which i did. My first car was slow as hell so its not like my parents just didnt think theyve always been very strict with driving especially with "fast" cars. GTIs are beautiful machines but they're not Porches. Anyway there was no frame damge or underbody my overall body damage was $3900 but some how the airbags bumped everything up to 13900 so my car is totalled and we got a check for 13900. The situation is easing up ishould be driving again in 2-3 months. I definately learned its not good to always push yourself.
