Default VW Cabriolet '92 starting problem

Hi!
I have a strarting problem with my car: when the engine is at normal operating temperature sometimes if i want to start the engine the starter doesn't do anything. After 2-3 minutes the car starts perfectly.
Could it be the starter relay? The starter works perfect when cold, the battery is almost new.
Thank You
Peter

Number of things to check when car won't start:
- No fuel pressure
- no ignition spark, a bad coil
- Dirty or loose wirings and connections
- check the battery and the starter as well

Keep us posted of what other things have you noticed. By the way, have you done tune-ups lately? Better check all your auto parts to see what might be the real problem. Good luck..
