Hey guys. I have a 01 cabrio that shakes when you accelerate and im now starting to hear a "clunk" when i hit the gas and another "clunk" when i let off of the gas. I'm thinking its the axel... If so is that fairly easy to replace myself? I always do all work myself but never tackled anything to do with an axel. I also see they sell right and left axel assemblies so it could only be one of the right?

 

This is an easier fix than you think. I just finished replacing both axles, control arms, tie rods, rotors and brakes on a Cabrio.

I would be happy to point you in the right direction for parts. Replacing the axles is cheaper than you might think!!
