hey guys, I recently bought a 2000 VW Beetle 2.0L with automatic transmission & its been acting strangely, hoping you guys can help me with some advice

the problem occurs when I'm driving, the transmission will slip into Neutral by itself then jerk pretty hard back into drive. its kinda scary since I'm a girl and it worries me what might happen if it does this in a bad situation

im somewhat mechanically knowledgable (meaning I know the basics and dont mind getting dirty working on cars) hoping you guys can help me figure out what the problem is and if its fixable. I had the fluid changed but still having this problem. Any advice please? thank you!!
