Default Roller Pedal Question

I put a roller pedal on my '70 Baja bug and now it won't rev quick at all. I followed all the instruction and everything when installing it but now there is very little push back on the pedal. When I push it down it moves like and 1inch and takes forever to get revs. Anyone know what this could be?

Actually I am in Utah. I bought the pedal awhile ago though from Bob's VW parts. So if I grind that peace off I should get more revs?

Okay grinded the peace off. Now I think the carb might be bad or to much for the motor. It is a dual barrel carb and from talking with some people I think it might be to much for the little thing. So I need to find a single barrel carb for cheap and try that. [&o]
