Messed up my bug, need help!
Years ago I had a 1966 Bug, loved that car. Today I now have a 2004 beetle and it is GREAT to have heat! Those that had one of those bugs knows what I am talking about!
Here is my problem. We recently had a huge snowfall in Ohio and I got my car from work to home but got stuck in the snow on our street. It was 11:30pm, a blizzard and cold! So I ran home and grabbed my Chevy truck and pulled the car out of the snow drift ancd dragged it home.
Here isthe problem. In the hurry to get it home I attached the tow rope to the only thing I could feel under the body. Turns out it was a tube under the driver side. Well, needless to say it wasn't a steel bar, it was a tube and while it didn't break loose, it did pull out from under the car and it is bent to the point that the tube is closed off.
What is that tube for?????? How hard is it to fix? UGH!!!!! HELP!!!! This isn't my 1966 bug which was easy to fix!!!!
let me know.....thanks, Herb

I guess you've done a serious damage on that tube... It would be nice if you could give us more detail on what are the VW Beetle parts that the tube where attached. A picture of it will be very helpful...
