Default Brakes for 61 Bug

My 61 is gutted........Literaly. All I have for the original braking system is the pedal. Thats it. Someone told me that the old Beetles have a cable brake system????? If that is true, I'd like to convert to a hydralic system. Also, does anyone make a conversion for a "conventional" wheel bolt pattern? Hubs, spindles, rotors, drums, etc.?

mamotorworks it a great place for everything as well. You could upgrade to rotors instead of drums, bolt on!
