Default Stuck rear brakes 01 cabrio

In cold weather brakes will not disengage from roters. Anyone have this problem? How much did it cost to fix? Thanks for your time, Stuck in Baltimore.

im afraid that it sounds like you are developing a master cylinder issue...ive never seen brakes "freeze" due to the cold, but without proper pressure from the MC, the caliper will not pull the pads away from the rotors...

one thing, i am uncertain of the e brake setup on your car...does it use a drum-in-rotor setup? that might be sticking...

I've had several cars including Volks where the handbrake cable sticks when cold. This happens especially when it's been raining, followed by a freeze. Park the car in a warm garage for half an hour, and the lines should release. If you are really desperate, you can try your wife or girlfriend's hair dryer.

The symptoms will eventually get worse, and you will have to replace a cable. -it's usually only one of them that is the culprit.
