Default Seeking Advice on Persistent Tapping Noise Is It My Broncos Lifters

Hey everyone,

I’m hoping to get some insight from fellow owners. My 2022 Bronco has recently developed a light tapping sound on cold starts, and it seems to fade once the engine warms up. I’ve read a few threads suggesting it could be related to the Bronco lifter issue, but opinions seem mixed.

Has anyone here dealt with a similar noise? Did it turn out to be lifter wear, oil choice, or something completely different?

I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences before I schedule a full inspection.

You’re not wrong to question it, but a light tap on cold start isn’t automatically a lifter failure. On a Ford Bronco, especially with the EcoBoost engines, brief https://vegastarscasino.co.com/ ticking can come from oil taking a moment to circulate, high-pressure fuel injectors, or even normal valvetrain noise. If it disappears quickly as it warms up, that usually points more to oil viscosity or minor lash noise than actual wear. That said, if it’s getting louder, lasting longer, or changing in tone, then it’s worth a dealer check while under warranty just to be safe.
