Manual Trans. DMF Question....
First time post/first time Volkswagen owner.......
I assume this question would apply to 2019 and 2020 Jetta manual transmissions also. I have a 2021 S with 3k miles. I bought it with 1k miles. I've owned 7 manual transmission cars/trucks in my life, but never one with a dual mass flywheel. About 60-70% of the time when I shift in the middle gears there is a clunk after I shift, with the clutch still depressed. It's like a metal on metal click. Is that normal with the DMF in these cars? I took It to a VW dealer and they said it was normal, with little explanation other than the DMF. It sure doesn't sound normal to me. I can't imagine metal on metal clunk/click being an OK thing. Any thoughts?
