Default 1991 T4 accelerator cable replacement

Just tore my accelerator cable yesterday and I need to replace it. Obviously. Is that a lot of work and do I have to take half the car apart to do it, or can I do it myself in an hour or two with basic tools? I usually work on an old Volvo where this wouldn't be a problem; there's a lot less space in the engine bay on a Transporter than on a 1988 Volvo 240... I'm not a mechanic but I'm not all thumbs either, so I wouldn't mind doing it myself.

Thanks!
